Art has been such a huge part of my life. I've tried as many forms of art as I can get my hands on. Music, drawing, painting, photography, pottery, as well as all sorts of crafting.
As of the past three years, I've been trying to find classes to better my art. I've taken three photography classes online that were not very helpful. Although each class was an hour long and came with weekly homework, constructive criticism wasn't allowed. Students were only ever allowed to say good things about each others artwork. I feel that constructive criticism is essential for learning.
I've since started taking painting and drawing classes at the local art museum. My teacher has been extremely supportive and helpful in my artistic journey. This coming week, my class will start up again as well as a new watercolor class. I'm excited about my new adventures in watercolor as I feel like this speaks strongly with me. I've tried acrylic and oil, both of which I was never truly satisfied with.
I still need to do a lot of studying as I feel like I'm struggling with anatomy and form. I know there are a lot of tutorials on youtube in which I'm constantly searching for more and better videos but I still feel like there is some fundamental practice I'm missing.
Either way, I'm going to start posting my work and I'd love constructive feedback from my fellow art community. Thank you for watching and please stay tuned for more posts!
